The digital subscription platform of Kompas — Indonesia's largest national daily newspaper — with 50,000+ paying subscribers. Originally built by an external vendor; I rebuilt the iOS application from scratch in-house and shipped it in place to a live paying subscriber base.
My Contribution:
- Rebuilt the entire iOS app from scratch, replacing the vendor-developed codebase with an in-house architecture
- Built StoreKit/In-App Purchase subscription system (the revenue engine)
- Built Audio Berita (Text-to-Speech) with AVFoundation — background playback + lock screen controls
- Architected modular iOS project with XcodeGen — separate UI, networking, and domain modules instead of one monolithic target
- Wrote Swift daily while leading the iOS team — three iOS engineers, inside a six-engineer mobile group with three QA
- Took App Store rating from 4.3 to 4.9 through systematic crash triage
- Maintained 99%+ crash-free rate across 5 years of continuous releases
- Built 40+ CI/CD workflows with self-hosted runners
